Susi is a founding member of Greenpeace and was the person who
co-signed the cheque for, and named, the iconic "Rainbow
Warrior" on which she crewed for a few years. More recently
she has been working for Oxfam as their Climate Change
Campaigner. Susi has been on the Boards of Greenpeace,
Friends of the Earth in New Zealand, and has also worked for
several years in mental health, at a marae-based health centre on
Waiheke Island. In recent years Susi has authored a book about her
life A Bonfire In My Mouth and has taken up documentary
filmmaking, earning nominations at the 2010 Documentary Edge Film
Festival, for the film Kit & Maynie: Tea, Scones
& Nuclear Disarmament, which she
co-directed and co-produced with Claudia Pond-Eyley .
