Catherine's extensive experience as a script
consultant and dramaturge, film funding executive, film and
broadcasting policy consultant, documentary producer/director,
educational technologist, academic and Film Festival manager led
her to establish Blueskin Films Ltd in mid 2002.
With a reel of credits including short film and
feature, drama and documentary, Catherine has played an integral
part in the NZ film industry. Award winning shorts include Taika
Waititi's Two Cars, One Night (producer) and the Simmonds'
brothers animation A Very Nice Honeymoon (executive
producer). Recent work includes co-producing Vincent Ward's feature
Rain of the Children released in 2008 (producer).
Catherine's latest work, producing He Kuaka
Maarangaranga, a feature length television documentary,
celebrates Don Selwyn's contribution to Maori drama.
