The WIFT NZ Awards is an annual event designed to celebrate
the achievements of women in the industry, provide a special
networking opportunity, and act as a source of fundraising for the
ongoing work of the organisation. It has become renowned for
quality, affordablity and great celebration and fun.
Now in its seventh year, the Awards are attended by a 550-strong
mixed audience of leading industry practitioners, friends and
supporters, and currently enjoy sponsorship support from South Pacific
Pictures, Great Southern Film & Television, Television New
Zealand, Screentime, Images & Sound, MiNDFOOD magazine and a
cast of awards prize donors.
There are currently seven awards presented by sponsors and/or
special guests during the evening for success in film, television,
screen business, and sustainability practice, alongside
up-and-coming and senior industry champions. Previous winners
include Niki Caro, Ngila Dickson, Robyn Malcolm, Rachel Lang,
Rhonda Kite, Janine Morrell-Gunn, Chloe Smith, Robin Scholes, Robin
Laing, South Pacific Pictures and Park Road Post Productions.
